I had the XP Firewall enabled and it has been running no problems for some
time. I recently ran some Spyware software and found a few bits so got them
removed. I checked my security settings just to be sure and I noticed that
the firewall was switched off. I have tried to restart it but I keep getting
an error message stating that 'Windows cannot start the Windows
Firewall/Internet Connection Service'.

Has anyone come across this before or knows how to get this working again?

Many thanks
