I won't change anything commented on by SHennan: he's given the 'full match
commentary'.
Something you may also consider before starting on your quest to be a nice
guy and help out: get Belarc Adviser and run it on the Dell.
It gives you a full inventory of the Hardsware and Software INCLUDING every
Serial Number or Installation ID.
This way you can make sure that if you rebuild it from scratch that you can
reinstall every application.
Should you not have any Installation CDs then be careful not to 'break the
law' by applying a copied application using the Product ID identified by
Belarc when installaing form another Installation CD of the same application.
