The following should work but be warned it turns off some SP2 security
features
1. Disable the Firewall on the XP SP2 Client.
2. Set the following Regkeys
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
NT\RPC\RestrictRemoteClients REGDWORD Value 0
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
NT\RPC\EnableAuthEpResolution REGDWORD Value 1
You may not have the Window NT\RPC folder. If you do not, create it
before creating these 2 keys.
3. In Component Services MMC snap-in, modify the permission for
Logical Disk Manager Remote Client and give Everyone and ANONYMOUS
LOGON local and remote access rights.
4. Set Authentication on Logical Disk Manager Remote Client to None.
That is on the General Tab of properties.
5. Go to the Component Services snap-in. Go to My Computer ->
Properties -> Com Security tab. Edit Limits for Access and just add
Everyone and ANONYMOUS LOGON and give them all possible rights.
