Logging off user problem

I have xp home edition on my computer that loads McAfee virus scan and
firewall, and Spysweeper at startup. I have 5 users on the computer.
Sometimes when 1 user logs off, the computer freezes at saving your settings
.......
Any ideas on why this maybe happening
