I am set up to receive windows updates automatically. The last windows
update was received by my system (Toshiba Qosmio) and I double clicked on the
icon on my taskbar and it said that the updates would be installed in
background, just like usual. When I was ready to turn my computer off I saw
a warning that said that the updates were still installing, to not turn the
computer off or unplug it and the computer would turn off automatically upon
installation of the update. The next morning when I got up, my laptop was
still running. Everyday for the past week when I turn my laptop on it says
that updates are ready to be installed and when I turn my system off it gives
me the same message when I am shutting down.
Even when I say that I want to not accept the updates (decline) the page
says that there are 0.0 kb to be installed and 0 amount of time needed to
install. Apparentally they have already been installed, but there is an
endless loop somewhere. What can I do to get rid of this? I do have Norton
Systemworks installed on my system.
