Sorry, Jupiter, I fully understand the origins andn original purpose of this
NG; (also that the Compatibility Listing check prior to converting to or
installing XP is also related to queries not covered by "Start/Help and
Support", which is incidently related to combatibility of various 3rd. party
progs to XP), so consider my reply to be valid.
Besides, I've sick to death of P.T.'s snide, unhelpful S.A. comments.
I think this NG has spread its wings more than slightly since its conception
and main purpose - so if you don't ask tthe question " is this problem
specifically related to XP or just a PEBCAK" if you don't ask?
All you need is one person who's experienced a similar problem and has
eventually pinned it down specifically to an XP problem to make the NG
worthwhile.
