help Active Internet Connection icon gone!

Was wondering if anyone could tell me why my Active Internet Connection icon
disappeared and how to get it back in the taskbar. I have try deleting my
internet connection and redoing it but the icon will not appear in the
taskbar again. Thank You for any help u could give me with this problem.
