Yeah, I found the same. I got an update to my nVidia driver from the
Microsoft site, and when I installed it (without uninstalling the old one)
it came up in my Add & Remove Programs list in Control Panel. I decided I
didn't like certain aspects of it and I uninstalled it from there, and the
old driver took over.
I've since changed my mind and installed the new one again. No problems at
any time.
