I have a Mitac 8555 notebook with a USB 2.0 external floppy drive. I
don't know if this is classed as a suitable subject for this group but
I'm trying to produce a rescue disk should I pick up a virus. Trouble
is, the USB floppy won't work in 'pseudo' XPHome so I have 5 floppies
created in XP (Panda Platinum Security) but they're no use as they won't
boot.
Is there a way to make USB work in pre XP mode? Failing that, I'm also
trying to create a rescue CD (in this case, XPHome+SP2 slipstreamed +
Panda rescue files) but that won't boot either - I get a 'non-emulation
booting' message. So, I'm strapped!
Any ideas please?
