The "System Volume Information" folder is where the System Restore points
are stored. It may be that the specified file has been corrupted.

The best strategy to resolve this behavior would be to run the Defrag in
Safe Mode. The following article describes the steps to start the system in
Safe Mode.

If you still get the exact error, you can clear the Sytem Volume Information
folder which will delete all of current restore points.

Open Control Panel/System/System Restore Tab. Place a check mark in the Turn
Off System Restore on all drives option. Apply/OK.
