Map to XP drive on Intranet

I can map out of XP Pro without any problems. However, I have been unable to
use my laptop (Win 2K) on an internal network to map to a drive on the XP
system. It can map to a different system using Win2K as well.

It sees the system in network neighborhood. It asks me for a userid and
password. I enter same and it says they are not recognized on the XP system.

When I use map, I do a \\XP\C$ as the address. The accounts I am using are all
administrative accounts. Same results, does not recognize the userid/password.

I have turned on just about every service possible, disabled XP's firewall and
Norton Personal Firewall, disabled NOD32 virus checking, triple checked my
userids and passwords (tried several different userids), and banged my head on
the desk several times.

Does a security setting exist somewhere that needs to be changed?

Hope all have a happy holiday - maybe someone can send me the solution as a
nicely wrapped present?
