hello,
i started with a norton ghost operation to clone two disks. the
operation failed and wouldn't load windows again.

i tried fixboot in the recovery console. then i got the error message
"NTLDR is missing"

i found out how to copy ntldr and ntdetect.com back onto the system
drive from the xp disk. I also checked to see if my boot.ini was cool

but, upon restarting xp still will not load. after the bios finishes
its rounds the screen goes black and then the bios starts up again as
if it restarts.

now i'm at a loss. can you help me?

max
