Sorry, but I'll assume you just bought your PC.

Here's how to remove the background: On your desktop R click with your
mouse > scroll appearing menu all the way down L click "properties"
small window appears on top L-click the second tab from the left
(desktop) now you should see a list of all the backgrounds that can be
installed scroll to the top and click none if you like the boring
emptyness of no background then at the bottom apply OK.
I just hope the next problem you'll get is a little trickier to solve.
