Thanks Bob Harris for your lengthy response and precautionaryr explanation. I
had thought that once my system is an OEM, I am stuck with what's inside.

Knowing that I can now add peripherals externally which don't require WinXp
reinstallation, how about internally?

I take it that appropriate RAM is also OK to add and I must be aware of
static charge.

Any more input is highly appreciated... Thanks so much.
