That note is not really relevant.

Microsoft intends single computer users to use Automatic Update and
those with multiple computers to use the Network Installation.
The Network Installation is the full SP-2 suitable for burning to CD
while the files from Automatic Update are not.

I personally think it best for all users to have the full Service Pack
on CD, whether downloaded or ordered from Microsoft.
