Dialler trouble

I am unable to dial out from my laptop with its built-in modem, despite the
fact that using Hyperterm I can get the dialler to respond with the ATDT
xxxx command. When I click on the icon to dial my ISP, or office, no
dialout occurs and a window offering the possibility of a manual dial comes
up. I have no problem with another company laptop, set up in the same
manner by me and on the same phone line.

Is there a setting in the registry that needs changing?
