I had a RPC error on my Win XP SPK1 installation. I couldn't get in at all
so I decided to reinstall windows on top of the failing install thinking I
could repair any damaged files but during the upgrade the install failed. I
tried the setup again and it failed. I tried a repair of that setup and that
failed. I decided to do a parallel install and so I know have a way into my
computer and existing files. However I can't afford to loose any data or
programs. Everytime I try to boot into the old install it tries to continue
the setup, is there anyway I can get it to boot into the old windows without
having it run the setup and go into windows? I know you can recover from a
bad spk install that does similar problems and am hoping I can recover from a
failed windows install. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
