Wes, Thanks for your info. I followed the various pieces of info on the
sites. I did follow one suggested resolution which I think fixed the COM+
prob. (The solution to the COM+ prob was to run a couple of cmds from the
Command Prompt and then go to Control Panel Add/Remove Programs Windows
Components). However, since then I have now a problem with the Appmgmt.dll.
I checked that on the MSKB only to discover that it is a known bug, there is
a fix, but I don't qualify for support. My OS came with my HP box. This
Appmgmt.dll problem has occurred before, but after a reboot appeared OK. Now
however, even a reboot doesn't fix it - I therefore checked the contents of
Windows/System32 and sure enough, there ain't no Appmgmt.dll.
