I can't see any of my drop down menus! Help please.

Hey all. This is really weird, I've never run into it before.
My comp is running XP home, '02 edition.
For some reason, about two days ago, my drop down menus got all screwed up.
Basically what happens if I right click something, try to open a file or
edit menu, anything that would bring up a drop menu, it's invisible. If I
roll the mouse over where the options would be, they start popping up.
Doesn't sound like that big a deal, but you have no idea how annoying this is.
Any fixes out there? I've searched around and found nothing.
Please help...
