RE: Smiley central Active X controls

Yes, I am looking at the right spot for the information bar. As I said in my
first post, the Yellow infomation bar will appear on most websites but not on
all. It is not disabled either. I looked. I made sure "default" in the
security setting was selected. During one of my trouble shooting steps, I
have also click on custom level and changed all the securities settings in
Internet Explorer to enble any and all active x Controls, and enabled any
and all downloads. I set everything to enable. That still didn't work.
I have also re-selected default and tried again. It failed. (IE explorer
by the way, won't allow me to change security to from medium to low.) I have
added the site to my trusted zone. It still will not allow me to download
the active X needed to run, "Smiley central." After doing more research
and reading other postings, I learned that I'm not the only one who is have
this problem. Numerous others are also having the same problem. And not just
with smiley central. Appearently XP Service pack II is doing its job too
well. Here is an example of one such person who posted in the discussion
group. He or she runs an on-line business. He or she cannot access their
business website and neither can their customers. They too have followed the
exact step as I have. On a side note, I have learned the Smiley Central does
not have any spyware. It is part of fun web products.
