You can use Task Manager to end the installer.

Read the manul for the USB device and follow their instructions to the letter.

Typically USB drives do not need 3rd party software, however there are
exceptions.

Once the device is connected and 'installed' you will need to use initialse
and format the disk before you can access it to store and retrieve data.

To open Computer Management, click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management.

You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators
group in order to complete this procedure.

New disks appear as Not Initialized.

Before you can use a disk, you must first initialize it. If you start Disk
Management after adding a disk, the Initialize Disk Wizard appears so you can
initialize the disk.
