I have the same problem Chris does. I also have a Belkin 4-port USB2.0 Hub.
I have WinXP SP2 on a new eMachines computer. I plug my hub in, and the
computer recognizes it as "unknown device" under the USB controllers section
of the Device Manager, says it is working properly, and needs no drivers
installed. Belkin does not have drivers available for most of its USB hubs,
claiming none are needed because Windows has native support for them. I've
also been scouring the web for generic hub drivers but no luck. I'd be keen
to hear if anyone else with a similar problem has found a solution. Also no,
my email address is not fake, it just looks like it.
