Internet explorer v6

After install and then uninstall of SP2 my browser is acting strangely. If I
use the search on my browser, the results don't appear where they used to,
but are now off screen and to view them I have to scroll down and across to
do just that. It's as if they are now in the bottom right of the browser. My
ISP mentioned it could be to do with the registry. Anybody who can advise but
bear in mind I am not computer literate so in plain English please
