I have cleared, disabled, rebooted, killed/restarted IE 6.0 edited the
registry followed microsoft "correction" instructions. Autocomplete still
doesn't work. I'm running XP Pro on a Dell Dimension 8300.
I'm thinking this would make a virus' job pretty easy. Don't try to decrypt
anything, just capture keystrokes send them over a socket to the spy. An
intelligent reader could easily discern between password/non-password _plain
text_. This used to be pretty trivial to do. But with XP Pro I don't know.
I was using Autocomplete to log into site that reqired a password &
username. It used to work fine & now it doesn't. Same for other pages. I
have no idea what happed between the last time it worked correctly & now. I
have done lots of stuff between these two times.
Is Autocomplete supposed to work for https sites? I think it is. Or no?
BTW, after fixing all the keys that start with "s" as per Microsoft's
instructions Autocomplete did work for http pages, but not for https pages.
BBTW, Mozilla & Firefox & Gecko work fine whether it's an http or https
page.
