Re: Remove Hard Drive info from XP Registry

Rick, thanks for the response -- good suggestion. However, my system (IBM
NetVista) was pre-configured with XP Home. They do not distribute an XP
recovery disk but you can order a CD for about $35. Instead, they put the
recovery and install program on the drive. You access it with a CNTL key
sequence at boot.

It appears that the program only allows safe mode boot or reformat & install
from what I can see. Am I missing something / is it possible to perform this
same repair install from the IBM on-disk recovery program?
