I am afraid that has not worked. I have also just finished implementing your
previous suggestions especially:
Reinstalling Java, Microsoft VM, JavaScript, IE SP1, all dlls and other
registry entries, testing JavaScript ...

There is no error message - the window just opens for a split second and
then closes.
The problem must be IE related since the windows open just fine in Netscape.
