help with offline drive

Hi,
I have 2 hard drives in my pc. Disk 1 is 60Gb IBM hard drive and Disk 2 is
a 80Gb Maxtor 6 hard drive.
Disk 2 is fairly new and has been working extremely well until this morning.
I cannot access or even see it under My Computer. When I right click on My
Computer and click on Manage and then go to Disk Management, Disk 1 says it
is offline and I cannot seem to reactive it.
Can someone pleasee help as I have important documents on that drive :(
