Joe;
If you click the bar at the top of the Emnail you truly wish to see,
that should do it.
That is done as a protection to help protect your privacy.
It is possible that the sender of the Email (spam) can then determine
your address not only does not bounce the spam, but now it can be
verified someone open and looked at it.
Otherwise:
Open Outlook Express.
Clock Tools.
Click Options
Click Security
Uncheck "Block images..."
Click OK.
