I had the same problems with the Bluetooth vs SP2. I had a Belkin USB
adapter but appears that the Microsoft driver overwrites the original. I did
contact Belkin and got the following reply:

"If you want to use the Belkin Bluetooth driver for the device, instead of
the Microsoft Service Pack 2 Bluetooth driver, it can be selected in Device
Manager: Go to Control Panel / System / Hardware / Device Manager and select
the Belkin Bluetooth Device driver. Right-click on the driver and select
Update Driver / Install from a List or Specific location. Select Don't Search
/ Next. Choose the Belkin Bluetooth Device and continue with the update.

After installing Windows XP Service Pack 2, some previously installed
Bluetooth utilities and drivers may become inoperative. These issues are
covered in Microsoft Knowledge Base article: 883258 available at
Support.Microsoft.com

To detect and use services of a Bluetooth device, place the device in
"Discoverable Mode" and have the Belkin utility Search For Devices in Range.
Once a device is detected, Pair with it and check for available services."

I am only a novice but managed (somehow) to get the above to work and was
happily using Bluetooth again using the original drivers.

I have noticed since that when I unplug the device and plug it back in again
it reverts back to the Microsoft drivers so I need to do the above again!

Almost the answer but not quite - sorry.
