Why? The OP's problem is not SP 2, but a feature a SP 2 that the anti-virus
programs were not designed prior to SP 2 to support. Norton has an update
for Norton Anti-Virus 2004 and is currently shipping Norton Anti-Virus 2005.
I suspect that the other responsible anti-virus program publishers are doing
the same.
