that should help stop it from starting but windows messanger has a way of
working its way back into the startup. You should also take into account that
there are 2 different programs which seem to do the same thing, but they each
have a different process. "windows messenger" has the process that you
described before and "msn messenger" is the process msnmsgr.exe in your task
manger. I just use msn messanger and dont use windows messenger at all. As
far as i can tell msn is the same thing. Microsoft has confused users by
includeing 2 different versions of the same software and by naming it
different things. Also windows messanger can be set to start up each time you
open up outlook, so that may be why it is comming up. In outlook express open
up tools>options>general and uncheck the start windows messagner when
starting outlook box. Hope this helps
