Try repairing the registration entries for the activation .DLL files
Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll
Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll
Another option would be to use System Restore to set the computer back
to a point yesterday when it was working properly.
Note that you can do both of the above from Safe Mode if a normal
startup won't work properly for you.
