Hello. I've tried to install Windows XP Service Pack 2. The installation is
successful, but when it restarts, the system crashes during the boot up. I
get a blue screen that flashes briefly and then it restarts and repeats the
process. I've copied a couple of event view files that may be useful. I've
updated my notebook with all of the current Compaq updates and previous
Windows updates. Here are the events:
1. Event Type: Error
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10005
Date: 8/29/2004
Time: 10:36:33 PM

2. Event Type: Error

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks, John
