Your video card's software must be providing a rotation feature. You
never mentioned what video card and driver/software you are using.
Could be there is a tray icon for the video card to rotate is painting
of the screen. Could be you have to go into the Display applet to get
into Settings tab to see if your video software added an option for
rotating the screen. Could be the video software defined a hotkey to
rotate the screen (and you hit it accidentally) and can use it to rotate
the screen again.
