d not with the a7v266)
Booting up with the new mobo POST completes normally .. red light on intelli
mouse comes on. Enter windows start page where I select the user with the
mouse/cursor... unable to do so because the cursor is frozen. Have tried
getting into windows in safe mode but need the mouse to select the user..
also tried safe mode with command line prompt... however, the command line
prompt does not come up. Did note that Administrator was on the display when
in safe mode/command line prompt. Have also tried the start with latest
known good configuration.. this also does not work..
The problem could be in BIOS.. but think that I have it configured
correctly per the asus manual.. The mouse is on a USB 2.0 port.. the old mobo
usb was 1.1 and the mouse functioned normally.. This BIOS has an option where
USB legacy can be enabled.. which I did.
Tried an old mouse with a ps/2 connector ... but this did not work either.
On the master drive (IBM 80 gig) have XP home with sp1 installed.. plus
numerous updates to sp1...
If the problem is a corrupted mouse drive how do I update it??
