Had the same thing happen to me. Followed the steps in
http://www.windowsforumz.com/General-Discussion-stop-c0000135-error-winsrv-problem-service-pack-installation-ftopict151038.html
and was able to recover w/o SP2. Will not retry until I know what's going on!
