a) Noticed it no longer says XP Professional on booting (in the splash
screen) but XP. Still says Pro on the Start menu.
b) Firewall on by default (we all knew that), I had to turn it off to use
the VPN to work (since the old Firewall was off by default not sure if this
is new behavior).
c) Upon boot, after logging in, takes quite a while before the first app
will launch. Somewhere between 20-30 seconds. Did a defrag (incl.
boot-time defrag) with Diskeeper to get it from 40 seconds to this length of
time.
