Greetings --

If you don't see any entries for any sort of antivirus application
in the Start Menu (click Start > All Programs), and none is listed by
the Control Panel's (click Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove
Programs) Add/Remove programs applet, you may well not have any
antivirus application installed.

However, reputable OEMs, such as Dell, usually include at least a
trial version of some antivirus application with their PCs. One way
to find out, besides making a phone call, would be to visit Dell's web
site, create yourself a login account, and then use their Support site
to determine exactly what was included with your specific computer (by
serial number, which Dell calls a Service Tag) when it left the
factory.

not set my computer up when we first rec'd it, so here's my question:
I do I find out if there is anti-virus software loaded in the system?
I looked in my prgram list and did not see anthing pertaining to that
type of program. Everytime I try to call dell, I'm on hold forever.
Can anyone walk me through the steps to find out where it is?

appreciate it if anyone out there can assist me. Thanks,Jane
