If you try and login on another local user account, do you still get that error? If not then that’s an error in your profile and you can use the “Files and Setting Transfer Wizard” to backup your files and settings, Login and administrator and delete the folder that hosts your profile (C:\Domcuments and Settings\Your Name). Login as you again, so that Windows XP creates a new profile for you, and then use the “Files and Setting Transfer Wizard” again to restore your files and setting again.
I would suggest in doing a FULL backup before your do something like this.
