There are some programs you can download for free. Ad-Aware is one that is used widely, and well liked. There are others, Spybot S&D, and Spyware Blaster. All three programs are very handy tools, and I strongly urge you to download, install and use them.
If you are looking for a registry cleaner, there are a couple that I have used, with varying degrees of success,
RegSeeker, and EasyCleaner 2.0
All can be found by typing in the name in your search bar, then selecting the free site you want to download from. Just read the instructions, paying close attention to how you set your options and preferences. For example, you can have these programs remove items, but sometimes these items are needed in order to access certain programs ( it's all explained in the programs), so , what you want to do is set them up so anything you delete can be restored if you need them. Just read before you make any changes.

Unfortunately, Norton will not allow me to delete them. I've checked out the instructions for deleting the registry keys on the Symantec Support page, but it seems like a lengthy process and has great potential for deleting something incorrectly.
