This sounds like bad hardware, either 1) failing power supply; 2)
failing hard drive; 3) failing motherboard. Test your hard drive with a
utility downloaded from the drive mftr. You can use something like
TuffTest to test the motherboard, although it may not be definitive.
Test your power supply by swapping it out with a known good one or
using a multimeter.
