This weekend I dumped the illegal copy of XP pro I was running on my PC for
a legal copy XP home and in the process lost my zip drive. I have 2 hard
drives 30 gigs each (master/slave) and 2 cd's( master/slave, one writes) and
the zip.
In the device manager "SCSI and RAID controllers" -> MASS storage
controller, I have the yellow excamation point and it states there are no
drivers for this hardware. Whenever I try to reinstall or up date the driver
it tells me that the signatures are out of date or Windows 95 drivers.
I've upgraded my bios and still nothing. Went over to Iomega but the only XP
drivers they have are for the Parallel port models. Why did this work fine
under XP Pro but not XP Home? Can I extract the driver from Pro?
When I tried to update the drive through Add New Hardware the following came
up --
HPT 370 UDMA/ATA 100 Raid Controller
but wouldn't install it.
Any help would be greatly appeciated.
Thanks.
Yank
