Thanks... I will try.
Two things please.
1) Any idea as to possible cause? Virus, Worm, Malware? If so, any preventable medicine?
2) Will system boot from XP CD and initiate options for install/repair?
Thanks

| "A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer."
|
| Error code 0x800705aa
|
|
| Updated XP with latest service package (We thought we had picked up Sasser, we)
| Removed all Shareware, Malware, viruses (I hope... No Sasser found)
| Checked both active profiles numerous times and all was OK...
|
| Now, after a week, we cannot log into XP, cannot get into task manager, and get additional error " Value
Creation Failed at line 422" if you try to log on two or three times (Before it locks up completely).
|
| Others here have reported a similar problem but solution always recommends accessing OS through boot into
safe mode and altering Windows reg. file.
|
| Tried to get into Safe mode... All options... No Go either. How do I get in otherwise?
|
| Any suggestions welcome.

| Thanks in advance,
