Hi

Try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

| I have been unlucky enough to get infected with Backdoor.Tofger and
although Norton deleted it on arrival I am unable to restore my Internet
Explorer homepage - it's stuck on some random search engine site whith a
large link to "Spyware Removal". I have followed all of the instructions on
the Microsoft, Norton and Sophos Websites but cannot find any of the
downloaded entries in the registry. I have found the offending internet
address in the registry entries for Internet Explorer start page, default
page etc but as soon as they are changed back to my home page and the
regedit is closed they revert to the suspect site. Has anyone any idea as
to where the downloaded virus files can be and how to permenantly change my
home page back? Any help much appreciated.
| Thanks.
