Hello all,

Just wanted to say “Thank you!” for the help/advice/education you’ve provided over the past few weeks…. (accessing command prompts, disabling system restore, deleting files, safebooting, etc. etc. etc...). You all got me started on the road to fixing the problems on my PC – I can now access the Internet and my Windows Explorer!!! Yeeee Hawwww!!! I don’t feel like I’ve been taken hostage by my PC anymore…

I discovered I did have Spyware, Adware, and some Trojan Horses after I downloaded Spy Sweeper…. (if there’s any other software that would be good for me to download, I’d be grateful for suggestions…)

I know it may not seem like much and that those tasks are probably very simple to folks like you, but to a person who doesn’t know how to do those things, it can be mind-boggling and scary…. I appreciate everyone’s time in responding to my requests…

Also, thank you to Microsoft for having this help and support site!

David (altho less dumb now) The Dummy
