Help! I am in deep trouble.

First, a great hello to every experts. My computer is
getting slower n slower by day and i am quite certain
that the root of such problems are accounted by the
Printer and Internet problem.

1. When i start my Xp computer, an internet connection
will start and ask me if i would want to connect to
internet (modem). I didn't have this pop up connection
window when i just bought the computer it just happen
recently when i removed a program.

2. Also, when i start my computer, a window will come out
asking saying somthing like "Computer is configuring the
Hp psc 1210 printer" This process usually takes abt 1-3
minutes an it is getting on my nerves. this window also
come up when i on or off the printer.

3. I believe you people out there are kind and helpful
and will be able to help me in no time.
