I just did a search of my system and did not find WUAPD.EXE (I have XP Pro
and all updates.)

If you are not NTFS then you could try booting from a 98, SE, or ME boot
floppy and editing the Hosts file and deleting the wuapd.exe file.

new high speed cable connection....i have run all antivirus, but my avg
continuosly shuts down....I went to trend micro to run a scan, and it comes
up with DOS_AGOBOT.GEN infecting my windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts . I
do not know how to remove this virus because it states that it is in use
when the virus protection goes to clean it. ON my task manager screen, i
have a file called wuapd.exe that is running at 65% and it is relating to my
SVCHOST.exe, causing it's usage % to go up and down with the wuapd.exe file.
I have run adaware, nothing...i have tried just to end the process only for
it to pop up down the line somewhere. What can i do to stop this?? I can't
just wipe out my system because i am missing my system disk that came with
the computer...any advice would be helpful.
