Hi Jeff,
You did a reinstall of WinXP "over the top", didn't you? Not a good idea, as
this is the sort of mess it creates. You may need to start/run "control
userpasswords2" and delete unused accounts from the advanced tab/advanced
button/users folder. You want to be careful that you are deleting the
accounts from the old installation and not the new one. It is highly likely
that the profiles appended with .windows or .laptop are the *current* user
folders.
