This error is an issue with Windows 2000 Domains -- it is not, per say, a
Windows XP issue

Memory Leak in Lsass.exe with Large Built-in Groups

SYMPTOMS
You might observe a memory leak in Lsass.exe private bytes with the System
Monitor tool.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the built-in groups (such as the Administrators
or Account Operators groups) have very many members. To verify this, use the
information in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article to create a
log with System Monitor:
248345 How to Create a Log Using System Monitor in Windows 2000
The leak occurs in the Private Bytes counter for the Lsass process. You can
also use the information in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article
and Umdh.exe to verify that the function that is not freeing memory is in
Samsrv.dll:
