This problem is really a big one... And I'm completly out of idea. Please help !

Problem description :

When booting windows XP Professionnal, the mouse and the keyboard stop responding at the welcome screen. The Keyboard and the mouse perfectly work with restore command prompt and BIOS

Last actions before problem :

- I deleted my old NVIDIA video card related softwares
- I installed new USB drivers for my ADSL modem

System :

System :Windows XP Professionnal
Microsoft cordless Natural Keyboard + cordless Intellimouse 4.0 (last driver were already present before problem happened)
Mother Board : ASUS K8V Deluxe SE
Processor : AMD 64 3000 +
Video Card : ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128
Memory : 1024 Mo DDR 400

Steps taken so far :

- Changing keyboard and mouse battery -> No change
- Checking Bios compatibility with USB -> It's OK
- Trying an other classical non-usb keyboard -> No change
- Booting in Safe Mode -> No change
- Booting last good configuration known -> No change
- Trying all F8 boots -> No change
- Checking disk -> It's OK
- Flashing BIOS to last version-> No change
- Trying all memory combination possible (I have 3 slots and 2 Memory of 512Mo) -> No change
- Repair installation with minimal connexions : CD, HDD, Keyboard and Video Card -> Things get worse. Installation freezes during the second step (1st reboot after coping files) on a black screen and a paralysed mouse arrow. I went then to the repair command prompt to put back the normal Windows booting files (from Windows/Repair). System is booting on WinXP again with no mouse or keyboard detected (and a rundll error if I boot on normal mode). I'm almost back at the beginning point...
- Changing the video card -> No change
- Changing the processor -> No change
- Desactivating with the repair command prompt all services related to my old USB Logitech Mouse -> No change
- Praying computer Gods -> No change

I don't have any other HDD, so I'm not able to test a new full clean install. And I won't do it on my actual HDD as I don't want to lose my windows data !
